Official Visit of the Delegation from the University of Arts in Tirana and His Excellency, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Kosovo, to the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina

On May 28, 2025, the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina had the honor of hosting an official visit from a high-level delegation of the University of Arts in Tirana, accompanied by His Excellency Mr. Petrit Malaj, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Kosovo.

The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Hazir Haziri, in the presence of the Vice Dean for Fine Arts, Internationalization, and Academic Development, Prof. Valbona Rexhepi; the Coordinator of the Faculty Gallery, Prof. Xhevdet Pantina; and Academician Prof. Ismet Jonuzi.

The delegation from the University of Arts in Tirana included:

  • Prof. Sadik Spahija – Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts
  • Assoc. Prof. Albes Fusha – Vice Dean
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ermir Hoxha – Head of Basic Unit
  • Prof. Artan Peqini – Study Program Coordinator
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ardian Isufi – Study Program Coordinator
  • Mr. Ergys Krisiko – Lecturer

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to intensify inter-institutional cooperation in the field of visual arts and agreed to implement a reciprocal exchange of exhibitions between the Gallery of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina and the Gallery of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Arts in Tirana.

In addition, the possibility of mutual academic staff and student exchanges was explored, aiming to strengthen long-term partnerships and promote the exchange of pedagogical, creative, and research experiences between the two institutions.

Ambassador Malaj expressed his full support for this collaboration, emphasizing the importance of deepening academic and cultural ties on a national level. Echoing this commitment, Dean Prof. Dr. Hazir Haziri pledged full institutional backing, ensuring the implementation of this cooperation in all agreed-upon forms, including exhibitions, academic mobility, and joint academic projects.

This visit marks a meaningful step toward building sustainable bridges of collaboration within the Albanian-speaking academic community and contributes to the internationalization of student and academic creative activity at the Faculty of Arts, University of Prishtina.
